Frequently asked

A few things worth asking.

The questions we are most often asked at first meetings. If yours is not here, send it across — we will answer plainly.

With an introductory call — usually thirty minutes, at no obligation. We discuss the scope, the team member most suited to lead, what we will need from your team, and an indicative timeline. If we proceed, an engagement letter follows.
Yes. Harish Kara & Associates is a sole-proprietary chartered accountancy firm; the principal is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
In most cases, yes. The senior who leads the first engagement remains the point of contact in subsequent years, with rotation only where independence requirements call for it.
No. We do not publish client names, refer to specific engagements in marketing, or share information across clients. Discretion is part of the work.
Fees depend on the scope of work and are set out in the engagement letter before work begins. We do not publish fee schedules — practice direction from the ICAI restricts the advertising of fees, and the right answer in any case depends on the engagement.
Yes, where the work is well-defined — a due diligence review, a one-time GST reconciliation, representation in an assessment. The same standards apply to short and long engagements.
