Harish Kara & Associates is a chartered accountancy firm headquartered in Hyderabad, near Hitech City. In practice since 2007, the firm provides audit, taxation and advisory services to founders, family-owned businesses, professionals and growing companies across India.

Who we are

Section 01

Founded in 2007. Five professionals, a practice across India.

The firm was founded by Harish Kara in 2007, after a decade in audit practice with a larger firm. From the principal working solo in Hyderabad, the practice has grown deliberately — into a team of qualified CA associates and article assistants — large enough to handle complex assurance and advisory engagements with depth, and structured to keep a senior accountable on every file.

Clients today are spread across India: companies in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, alongside the family-owned enterprises in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh that have stayed with the firm across generations. Our headquarters at Hitech City keeps us close to the technology and services economy that surrounds it.

Alongside the general practice, the firm has developed depth in five areas over the years — not-for-profit and charitable trust taxation, income tax litigation through the Tribunal, GST litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and the end-to-end handholding of startups from incorporation through their first fundraising round.

We do not advertise, we do not list clients, and we do not publish case studies. Almost all of our new work comes from clients we have served well, and the professionals who refer to us.

Numbers are checked, then checked again. The work we deliver should hold up to a third party reading it with a sceptical eye — because it will be.

Confidentiality

Client information stays inside the engagement. We do not publish client names, share details across engagements, or refer to past work without explicit consent.

Compliance

Our work follows the standards prescribed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and applicable statute. Where the answer is uncertain, we say so.

IV.

Continuity

A relationship with the firm is meant to outlast a financial year. We invest in understanding the business, and the same senior remains your point of contact year on year.
